{Progress in the Quick Fix Bathroom Project}

I know it doesn't seem like much,
but remember the before

I used oil based KILZ to cover the old gray & pink tiles.

I let the KILZ dry for about 24 hours.
Then I covered it in latex semi gloss
{Swiss Coffee - by BEHR}

the vanity has been painted the same black as all the doors in the house.

I don't know why I left the toothbrush holder and the soap dish pink?

no knob yet, still deciding

shutters are up
wallpaper is down

and something has to be done with those brass hinges...

it's amazing what a black toilet seat can do to a white toilet.

and one more addition to the room,
if I can get someone to remove the toilet for me...I've got a great surprise

  4. Ok, I hate to follow the crowd, but knob #3 gets my vote too.

    Have you painted tile before? I'm interested to know how it holds up. It really looks great!

    I LOVE that you painted the tile!!! I've wanted to try that, but I don't have a bathroom with tile, and no client would EVER consider letting me do that. At least not yet. I've painted faucets and a shower frame though...and so far so good!

    Oh, and I've removed a toilet before by myself...twice. If I can do it, you can do it. :)

  7. Wow you have made a ton of progress. The painted tile looks fabulous. Swiss Coffee is always my go to white, it looks good with everything.
    I would never have thought about a black toilet seat but I love it.
    Can't wait to see more.

  9. Looking good! Love knob #3. How clever to paint the tile. I wonder why more people don't do that.

    Bathroom looks great! One question...where did you find the curved moulding to go around the bottom of the bathtub? I have the same bathtub and can't seem to find the moulding anywhere:)
