If you know my girls,
Camille & Lucy,
you know they're not girly girls.
And they're
F U L L
of personality.
So, a rustic wooden pallet headboard
wouldn't look out of place in their bedroom.
So, off the 3 of us go to
search the internet for images
that inspire them.

And once they saw we could add some bunting,
they were hooked!
Once I saw this, I knew it was the answer to my island problem in my kitchen.
So, we'll be searching the streets for pallets this week.
Can't wait to finish their room!

ReplyDeletecan't wait to see what you do! i have been wanting to do this in my sons room... forev!
ReplyDeleteLove your inspiration pictures. Check your kijiji or Craigslist, sometimes they are listed by homeowners who just had bricks etc delivered. We always see piles of them with 'free' signs near factories and businesses in our towns nearby. Give them a good sniff to make sure they don't smell like oil. Looking forward to seeing what you do with them.
ReplyDeleteCheck out local contruction companyies who place orders- for example flooring companies. They always have a ton they want to get rid of (I know because I work at one in Indiana). Loooove your ideas, thanks so much for sharing!!! I have plenty of access to pallets so I am DOING this!!! Cant wait!!!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the one from Addicted 2 Decorating...but they're all great and such a clever use of an everyday item!
ReplyDeleteIt was so cool to see my headboard in here! I really
ReplyDeleteloved the Sweet Home Style and Trash to Treasure Decorating ones. I have heard that pallets are often fumigated with some pretty toxic chemicals, so be careful! I can't wait to see what you make.
Thanks for linking to our headboard!
